From the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show Honda Accord Hybrid comes. The Eastern Company has introduced two versions of this, one of them is pluggable. The latter consumes 1.42 l/100 km. Only sold in U.S. and Japan.


The Japanese firm has presented at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013 Honda Accord Hybrid. This new vehicle, which is already on sale, is available in two versions, low-power hybrid: a sporty and another plugin.

The Accord Hybrid EX, the sportiest, equips a 2.0 combustion engine with an electric one. Through this partnership, the vehicle consumes an average of 3.3 l/100. According to news agency EFE, price in Japan will start at 3.6 million yen (about 28,000 euros).

Meanwhile, the Honda Accord Plug-In reduces consumption to 1.42 l/100-as Japanese cycle. Its starting price starts at 5 million yen (about 38,900 euros).

As reported Honda Accord hybrid these two are only sold in the Japanese market and in the U.S., but does not exclude that in the future be marketed in Europe or Latin America.

"Hybrid cars are the main attraction in sustainable technologies for the environment over the next two decades," clarified the Honda President Takanobu Ito.

With these new Honda Accord Hybrid, the company expects to cut land to its main competitor, Toyota Motor, the world leader in the sector, and has about 75 percent of the market share of hybrid vehicles in Japan thanks, in part, the success of his Toyota Prius.
