Also at the Detroit Auto Show, General Motors' Buick brand, which is generally known for selling fairly conservative cars designed for those who prefer quiet and comfort over speed and excitement, debuted an exciting new entry. Just before Monday's opening media day of the Detroit Auto Show, Buick executives unveiled a car with proportions similar to the sporty Chevrolet Camaro. The 2008 Fit is available from
parallel importers and the authorised dealer in Singapore. The parallel import Fit is available in 1.3 G and GF that comes with an optional sunroof and the 1.5 RS version which packs 120 PS. The RS version has different honda release bumpers, bigger 16-inch rims and has smoked LED tail lamps. The authorised dealer sells the Jazz in two variants 1.3 L and the 1.5 L having similar specifications as the parallel imported Fit but does not adopt the RS grade for the 1.5 model.

Since all the vehicles in this segment are governed by the Indian sub-4 m compact car norm, there isn't much of a difference in terms of length. The Baleno and Jazz decided to make the most of the limitation and hence they both measure 3,995 mm in length. The Elite i20 measures 3,985 mm while the Polo emerges as the shortest of the lot at 3,971 mm.

The cabin offers generous space. That said, it is undoubtedly one of the most spacious hatchbacks in the B segment, offering ample leg room, head space and shoulder space even to the passengers sitting at the rear. A host of features have been embedded inside, totally complementing the large cabin space and hence upping the practicality of the cabin.
