I am the danger! Breaking Bad, Hitch & Tow, Hot Pursuit and a whole slew of Greenlight is now available at Wheel Collectors...

It seems like it has been a while since we have hopped on the Greenlight train, but are doing it today in a big way.

Here is only PART of what arrived at Wheel Collectors today:

That is a large Greenlight salad.

And it is full of all kinds of goodness.  It starts with Hollywood Series 9, which contains the first issues of the Breaking Bad series.  Sure, the Dodge Challenger and Chrysler 300 aren't as iconic as the RV (coming soon) and the Pontiac Aztek (crossing our fingers), but they are part of the greatest television show ever (proven fact).

Next, our favorite Greenlight Series, Hitch & Tow is back, along with a fantastic '77 Dodge D-100 Pickup, which is happily paired with a gold Airstream Bambi.  And the '77 Chevy Van is an instant add-on to the collection.  And if it is just the models you want, Wheel Collectors are offering those separately as well.

Lastly, Hot Pursuit, full of current and vintage real police liveries.  The Monaco and Bronco are must haves.

You can see all the models here:

All are on their way.  Any one you want to see featured first?

First Look: The models of Greenlight Hitch & Tow Series 2...

We really can't get enough of the Hitch & Tow.

And we are not alone.  We have heard from a large number of you guys telling us how much you like the Hitch & Tow Series as well.  It is clear that Greenlight has put a lot of thought into it, and the results so far have been fantastic.  Such a wide array of models, some representing a good family road trip of yesteryear, others weekend warriors of today.  And the variety continues with Series 3:

The four trailers remain consistent, and only the Dodge Ram is held over from the first two sets.  And with the Dodge D-100 and '77 Chevy Van joining the Monaco, Bronco, C10, and Impala from the first two sets, the variety is top notch.

And here is the thing.  While we have enjoyed jumping headfirst into Greenlight, it can be a bit overwhelming.  Muscle and Hot Pursuit and Black Bandits and Country Roads and on and on.  But some of the best variety might just be in Hitch & Tow.  Admittedly, Hitch & Tow, along with Country Roads, is probably the line most similar to the offerings of Tomica Limited Vintage, so that is why it might strike our fancy here at Lamley.  Street cars in street clothes.  The green Monaco, for example, seems to fit very nicely next to a vintage Toyota Crown.  We should have taken pics.  (We will later.)

And outside of the Dodge Ram (a nice model, but it doesn't hold our interest), these models hold their own so well, attached to a trailer or not.  The Monaco is road boating at its best, the orange C10, with those wheels, looks like C10's we still pass by, and that Bronco is straight-up beautiful.

Then you add the trailers, and you have one of the best diecast sets around.

But one complaint.  Greenlight could work on the quality of some of these.  The Dodge Ram came with a broken hitch, and the hinge of the door of the enclosed hauler broke the first time we opened and closed it.  For models that look this good, the quality should always match.

Other than that, we are thrilled with these.  Here are some of the pics we took, and as usual we could not help adding some Tomica Limited Vintage models, this time the TLV Prince Gloria (some of which you can find at Japan Booster.)  Enjoy...

(All the Hitch & Tow Series 2 sets are available at Wheel Collectors.)

Surprise! Hot Wheels Cool Classics Batch K, Matchbox 2015 Batch B, and Greenlight Hitch & Tow Series 2 are all now out at Wheel Collectors...

Well when it rains, it poors.

We don't think Matt and the gang over at Wheel Collectors woke up this morning knowing they would be fishing through two large pallets, but that is what happened.  Not only did Greenlight send over a pallet full of the highly anticipated Hitch & Tow Series 2 plus many others, but Mattel did the same, sending Hot Wheels Basic Batch E (more on that in a bit), Matchbox Batch B, and the most exciting of all, Cool Classics Batch K.

Why are we so excited about Cool Classics?  We have been more than vocal about the fact that we think the Cool Classics are rather drab.  But in true Mattel fashion, they have saved the best for last.  Between the VW Fastback, Honda S2K, Ford GT, Hurst Olds, and '69 Mustang 302, there isn't a weak model in the bunch.  And that goes for Batch L as well, out in March, with two Datsuns and a slew of others.

So here is the question, and it is is the same question we seem to ask with every Hot Wheels premium line: With the pegwarming tendencies of the previous Cool Classics, will Batch K and L even make it to the stores?  We have no idea, but we could be facing yet another HW Racing, Boulevard, and Flying Customs situation.  And that is too bad.

Thankfully Wheel Collectors has it, and you can buy the whole set if you would like.

But as nice as those Cool Classics are, we don't want them to overshadow the Greenlight Hitch & Tow.  Series 2 is just as fabulous as Series 1, if not better.  The Monaco/Airstream is a total treat, as is the C10 and Bronco.  We anticipate this series being very popular, so grab what you want now.  Greenlights seem to be more of a dealer product outside of Toys R Us, and Wheel Collectors has made sure the prices are affordable.

So while our friends continue to filter through all of today's goodies, here are links to what they have posted so far.  Grab them while you can:
