Not much going on today. So why not some cool 7's Pacer ads.

I was watching an old tim, from 1977, and the main character was driving one. New of course.
And it reminded me of how cool I always thought it was .
(Especially the original design. Before they added a chrome grille to the front end)

It just was fun looking. In a 70's kind of way.

Hollywood sight

 I saw this in the streets a few days ago. Just south of Sunset Blvd.

A very rare, but sad sight indeed.
An old Lotus Elite. Hadn't seen one in... well, I'm not even sure I've ever seen one in real life.

It was produced from 1974 to 1982. This one has the side markers, so it was (is?) a US model.
Seems like they only made 2535 of these. So this is a rare car.
It's really too bad to see it in that shape.
Although I do understand something like this must be quite expensive to fix.
But, it's obviously still running!

Quite a crazy design for its time. Although, I do remember many really modern (crazy) british designs from the 70's.
Like the Rover 3500 or the Austin Princess (Anyone remembers that one?) were great designs that, I think, still look modern today.

This Challenger was bought by a Dodge dealership owner,. and he never drove it much, never altered it, and it's been sitting in the dealership showroom for ever.

the next couple photos show the sun damage, or color fade due to arms resting on top of the inner door panel... hard to be sure which

the oldest existing trailer/caravan, The Wanderer, has been restored and put on display at Cotswolds Caravan Club

Dr William Gordan Stables, right, in 1885 just after he designed and built the Wanderer. It was pulled by two horses, Captain Corn-flower and Polly Pea-blossom back then.

Custom-made in 1884, this 30ft caravan is more like a palace on wheels.

Commissioned by Scotsman Dr William Stables, The Wanderer was the first caravan to be made purely for the pleasure of travel. Made from mahogany and maple wood, and painted black and gold, former naval officer Dr Stables wanted the life of a gypsy while traveling in style - spawning the nickname 'Gentleman Gypsy'.

The Wanderer has clocked up tens of thousands of miles and was inspired by traditional horse-drawn Romany wagons.

It boasts a bookcase, china cabinet and even musical instruments to entertain campers when it rained outside.

But the world's first caravan has been gathering dust for years and was only wheeled out on special occasions. Beverley Larion, of the Caravan Club, said: 'We would prefer to keep it at the Caravan Club rather than in a storage facility so our members can enjoy it. 'It’s the most beautiful display of craftsmanship internally and the upholstery is all original.'

Arctic Cat offered minibikes from 1970-72, then conceded the category to more established brands.

Model names in 1970 the SSSCAT, in 1971 Screamer, Whisker and Climber, and in 1972 Prowler  and Ramrod
