Five Chevys Win Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Award

Sports cars and SUV top categories, pickups take Top 10 overall honors

Kelley Blue Book today awarded Best Resale Value Awards to five Chevrolet models. Camaro, Corvette and Tahoe topped their categories while the Colorado and Silverado earned awards for being in the Top 10 overall of expected retained value after five years.

The win marks the fourth year in a row the Camaro has topped its segment, and the second consecutive year the Corvette won the High Performance car category.

“Chevrolet prides itself on offering performance, design, and technology at a great value,” said Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president of Global Marketing for Chevrolet. “These awards show that a Chevrolet is going to offer you a great value not just at the time of purchase, but when it comes to selling your car.”

Kelley Blue Book bases its awards on its own research and analysis focused on retained value over the first five years of ownership. Winners are chosen in 22 categories, including hybrid and plug-in cars. The Top 10 consists of those vehicles that retain the highest percentage of their original Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price.

Sports cars to midsize pickups represented

Edmunds.com announced that seven Chevrolet models were named a 2015 Most Popular on Edmunds.com Vehicle. This is the second year in a row Chevrolet has had seven models win the award.

“Across the board, Chevrolet’s model lineup is the strongest it’s ever been,” said Brian Sweeney, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet. “This award proves that Chevrolet is delivering the exciting designs, innovative technologies and safety features that customers want most.” 

The seven winners cover a range of Chevrolet vehicles, with the Impala, Corvette, Camaro, Traverse, Tahoe, Colorado and Silverado 1500 each earning the honor.

The 2015 Most Popular on Edmunds.com vehicle list includes the three models in each vehicle segment with the highest car-shopper consideration.

Edmunds defines car-shopper consideration as the total of the monthly unique desktop website visitors, measured by unique cookies, to the Edmunds.com research and inventory pages, including model-year detail pages, reviews, build-and-price tools and new car inventory. This data was collected for each model from Jan. 1 to Oct. 31, 2014.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Price in Spain

The new Chevrolet Corvette in Spain for 79,990 euros.

The new sports car from Chevrolet, the Corvette Stingray, will reach European showrooms in the fall of 2013. In Spain, the coupe version of the seventh generation of the Chevrolet Corvette will have a starting price of € 79,990.

The Corvette Stingray "European" will adjust to the tastes of European customers, and will have as standard with the Z51 Performance Pack, which includes: aerodynamic package, electronic limited slip differential, springs, stabilizer bars and dampers with Magnetic Ride Control; developments modified shift seven-speed box, dry sump lubrication and cooling of differential and transmission, 19-inch front wheels and 20 rear, front brakes (345 mm) and rear (338 mm) larger and traction management systems and sports exhaust system.

Adjusted the suspension and change to European tastes.

The engine is unchanged at American Corvette. It is an evolution of the 6.2L LT1 V8 with seven-speed manual transmission and Active Rev Matching heel tip makes reducing gears. This engine develops 460 hp at 6,000 rpm and 630 Nm of torque at 4,600 rpm with the sports exhaust system. It is designed to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in under four seconds and provide energy efficient than the previous model.

The coupe version will start from 79,900 euros and will have as standard with the Z51 sport package.

In addition, the Corvette Stingray includes Chevrolet MyLink radio connected sophisticated inspired tablets, with two eight-inch screens (with optional personalization), USB port, SD card connections and auxiliary input, and a central screen that can be folded to give access to a compartment to store electronic devices.
